# 5.7 - Deterministic Fee Architecture

Polarischain eliminates gas auctions, priority bidding, and MEV-driven fee markets. Transaction costs are protocol-bound and optimized for payment SLAs.**Fee Calculation Factors:**

1. **Transaction Size:** Byte-weighted cost for signature, metadata, and payload transmission.
2. **DAG Traversal Depth:** Computational weight for parent-reference validation and linearization.
3. **Compliance Overhead:** Fixed surcharge for KYC hash verification, jurisdictional policy routing, and custodian attestation checks.

**Fee Routing:**

* `45%` → Validator Rewards Pool (compensates block production, consensus participation, compliance enforcement)
* `55%` → Redistribution Pool & Protocol Treasury (funds ecosystem grants, PQ research, regulator infrastructure, institutional onboarding)
* **No Token Burn:** Polarischain deliberately avoids deflationary burns. Burning tokens creates hoarding incentives that conflict with high-velocity payment settlement and introduces unpredictable supply shocks. Fees are recycled into network sustainability and governance-directed value creation.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://polarischain-1.gitbook.io/polarischain/5.-system-architecture-and-network-economics/5.7-deterministic-fee-architecture.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
